FARMATOXI

The Spanish Association of Toxicology has promoted the creation of various forums related to different toxicological aspects that operate independently with the support technician RedIRIS, Spanish Academic Network R & D I.

In 2002 Spanish Association of Toxicology becomes Collaborating Entity of FARMATOXI- Virtual Community of Pharmacology and Toxicology.

FARMATOXI aims to facilitate contact and teamwork among stakeholders in the study of the kinetics and the beneficial and adverse chemical and physical agents (drugs, contaminants, radiation, and so on.) on living.

To that end users have free a series of tools to overcome the spatial and temporal barriers, and promote efficient cooperation between administrations, institutions, scientific societies, companies and research centers. These resources include the availability of a shared space, updated database of members or so-called groupware tool via WEB (BSCW). Also, is possible to hold virtual meetings such as web conferencing text (chat), creating bulletin boards, exposure of electronic journals, coordination through mailing lists and the organization of virtual conferences.
